Speech for the UK training program

Hey everyone! Today I would like to talk about our upcoming school trip to the UK and what I look forward to it.
First of all, it has been three years since fourth graders were able to travel to the UK. Due to the COVID pandemic, I never thought that we would be able to participate in the oversea training program.
But luckily the pandemic has settled slightly these days than before, we are able to go. I can't imagine in three days, we will be in the UK! I'm so excited. I hope my fellow friends are excited too. On behalf of the 5th graders, I would like to thank our teachers, parents, and especially our tour managers Banno-san and Shinagawa-san. Thank you so much. This trip to the UK would not have been possible without your help.

I knew it is too early to start packing my luggage for this trip last month but I could not hold back my excitement for this trip. So I started packing up earlier than usual. As we get closer and closer to the trip, I could feel the atmosphere of excitement among my classmates also. Every day, we would talk about what we wanted to do, eat, and of course, learn in the UK. My group has made plans to make our trip even more exciting. We are looking forward to seeing the skeleton of an extinct heavy flightless bird, the dodo, in the Museum of Zoology and trying traditional food there.

The trip will begin in three days. I think it is important to have fun but we have to always remind ourselves what our biggest priority is. Without any purpose and goals, there will be nothing left after our trip. Let's not waste our big opportunity. I hope everyone has one or two goals in their mind. I will give you 5 seconds to reflect upon yourself and think about your own purposes and goals for this trip. The time starts now! Okay, time is up. I'll share my purpose for this trip. My purpose is to improve my English skills, especially my communication skills, broaden my view, make new friends, and feel the cultural difference.

On page 5, right here, it says "don't hesitate to talk to other people and don't be afraid of making mistakes." I'm usually too shy to speak up in class, but this time, I will break my shell and hope to go to the next level because this will make our class even more fun and exciting in Studio Cambridge.

I have talked about so many things, but to wrap up my speech, I would like to note that the most important thing for us is to stay safe and make a lot of memories! I hope all members of the 5th graders arrive home safely with their hands full of memories! Let's have a wonderful time together in the UK! Thank you.
