We are happy to share that the Foreign Language Club will be participating in the FICTS Film Festival again this year.
FICTS is an organization based in Milan, Italy, that promotes sports films and documentaries.
Our club’s role is to translate the films and produce Japanese subtitles.
Last year, we worked on two films: Pete, a short five-minute animation, and Maxim the Greatest, a thirty-minute documentary.
Although we do not have this year’s shortlist yet, we hope to work on similar projects.
We hope to show the films at Shuho Festival in September and to join the film festival itself in Nagano City in early October.
今年も外国語部が「FICTS映画祭」に参加することになりましたので、お知らせいたします。
FICTSは、イタリアのミラノを拠点とし、スポーツ映画やドキュメンタリーを推進している団体です。
私たち外国語部の役割は、映画の翻訳と日本語字幕の作成です。
昨年は、5分間の短編アニメーション『Pete』と、30分間のドキュメンタリー『Maxim the Greatest』の2作品について、翻訳と字幕作成に取り組みました。
今年の選考リストはまだ発表されていませんが、今年も同様のプロジェクトに携われることを期待しています。
9月の秀峰祭での上映に加え、10月上旬に長野市で開催される映画祭本編への参加も目指しています。
